  • Business plans 101: How to create a successful Business Plan

Challenges

Throughout the week, there are a couple of challenges that the students will be encouraged to take part in. The first is the traditional ‘Business Plan Challenge’. Students will be given a week to create and submit a business plan for investors consultation. The winner will be given a prize, to be donated by a sponsor, and should be related to assisting the winner in the business start-up.

The second challenge will be investment-related. The students will be encouraged to open up an up-down account online. This account gives the students access to one million dollars in a virtual portfolio to invest in stocks and bonds. The students with the highest returns at the end of the week will get a chance to defend their investment decisions. Those with the best reasoning will receive the second sponsored prize, the target being $1000 in cash.

The winners of Business Plan Challenge and investment contest will share their thoughts and plans during the mini-CYCLE follow-up event planned tentatively for December 11-12, 2010.

Location

The conference will be held in the beautiful Jovariskes Estate outside of the city of Trakai, Lithuania. Antanas, the landlord, offers free internet in all the rooms, as well as a large conference hall for our central location during the week.
